Developing Goals

My deveolping goals are as follows:

Long term

In five years time I would like to be working for a computer games company, either being involved with the game design, game animation or level design. Preferably being in the game design section, no doubt I’m going to have to go through a period of game testing so people will listen to me and so I will have been in the games industry. I would like to be working for a company that has a contract with Microsoft as I have played a lot of games consoles and the Microsoft XBOX and XBOX 360 are two of the best by far.

Mid term

In the next 18 months somehow I want to get myself involved in the games industry, be it an internship or actually designing a game with my own creative team, people for art people for art all that, hopefully some of my friends will be willing to participate although in saying that I would struggle to name five friends willing to help design a game with me.

Short term

I want to have all my dissertation work more or less done by the start of October, other than that again work my way into the game industry slowly I can use my dissertation to get me in the door hopefully as I will be talking to and interviewing people in the games industry for my dissertation. I would also like to have a fully working flash game as my own little summer project to give me some more coding experience.

Well back again for more blogging fun, this time for ppd level 2

Into the swing of things...again

Now that there is some learing goin on apart from the 3D max tutorial we had, I've finally got back ino the swing of designing things.

We have a studio now not just a room crammed with tables and we have computers and are getting some macs, yay.

Well???

So we have had Christmas, rung in the new year.

Now we wait to go back to college, I don't think I have said this about education before but I can't wait to go back, stating to get bored at home.

Back to normal

Finally all is back to normal after the urban communication project. Now onto our interaction task for over the holidays.......

I have had it with this project!

This project we are doing, it is totally irrelevent to our course, we have been linked up with two other courses and this project is relevent to both their courses, what the hell is up with that? I have had enough of, 'ugh, why are interaction on this project they dont do anyting?' we dont know why we are on this project!

It has been a waste of a uni term and a waste of a lot of money, the first years on our course have done more interesting work than we have this year so far!
